Energy Reduction Project - Naarden, The Netherlands

objectiveReduce energy consumption in our Naarden, The Netherlands, site by 8%.

 
six sigma projectThe tools used included Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams, and regression studies to determine the controlling factors in energy consumption.  Using these tools the Naarden Six Sigma Team was able to readjust settings on various equipment, including automatic timers for systems on/off.  High consumption machines required operator training and intervention.

 
resultsThe Team exceeded their objective and achieved an 11% reduction – translating to Euro 71K in reduced cost and, more importantly, the conservation of energy at our Naarden site.
